One morning in early December, bleary eyed form the early hour and not having reached the optimal blood-to-caffeine ratio in my system yet I spied an X-Wing parked at the front of the station! It looked like the pilot had just run in for a morning coffee somewhere and got jack of looking for a parking spot in the city so just pulled up on the station forecourt. Geeky excitement is better than coffee any day!

Ms. Marvel’s Scarf
Ms Marvel’s scarf is an excellent accessory that I managed to make based off a snap decision whilst fabric shopping. It serves as not only a scarf, but a cape as well and I’m very much enamored by it, even if it’s creation process left a little to be desired…
Nerdvember Challenge 2017 – Final Week
This is the final week of my Nerdvember challenge. Well, week and a bit really. I’m a little sad Nerdvember is coming to a close, it has been a blast to put together different nerdy outfits to wear during the month. These last nine outfits have some of my favorite pieces in them. Gotta save the […]
Nerdvember Challenge 2017 – Week Three
Have passed the halfway point in my Nerdvember challenge and I’m still having heaps of fun! I’m very much enjoying having conversations with people about accessories and clothing as well as the show or book they come from or are inspired by. It has been an absolute highlight of Nerdvember so far for colleagues and friends to greet me with something along the lines of “so what are you wearing today?”
Nerdvember Challenge 2017 – Week Two
Second week of my Nerdvember fashion challenge to bring something a little nerdy into my clothing every day for the whole of November. I’m having a lot of fun re-discovering nerdy things I’d burred in boxes and forgotten about!
Nerdvember Challenge 2017 – Week One
Way back in 2013 Set to Stunning posed a challenge; wear something a little nerdy each day in November. I didn’t participate in Nerdvember then or any year since, but this year I decided to have a go at the challenge and see how I’d go!
Read Comics in Public Day 2017
What better place to read a spooky horror comic featuring a creepy murderous child than underneath a lonely street light in the park at night?
Marvel : Creating the Cinematic Universe
When QAGOMA announced they were holding an exclusive exhibit of costumes and props used in the Marvel Cinematic Universe I needed to go to there. This exhibit was magical! It was possible to get very close to the costumes and see all the intricate detail in them, but that just made me want to touch the fabric to feel the texture in my fingers. I managed to resist the urge to touch, but only just!
Image Comics 25th Anniversary
Today is Image Comics’ 25th Anniversary! Happy Birthday Image! Most of my favourite comics are published through Image, and if I’m honest, I didn’t realise it had been around for 25 years, it’s an amazing milestone! I managed to pick out just ten comics that I’m really enjoying right now from Image to recommend for the occasion.
