The Day an X-Wing landed at my train station
One morning in early December, bleary eyed form the early hour and not having reached the optimal blood-to-caffeine ratio in my system yet I spied an X-Wing parked at the front of the station! It looked like the pilot had just run in for a morning coffee somewhere and got jack of looking for a parking spot in the city so just pulled up on the station forecourt. Geeky excitement is better than coffee any day!
Marvel : Creating the Cinematic Universe
When QAGOMA announced they were holding an exclusive exhibit of costumes and props used in the Marvel Cinematic Universe I needed to go to there. This exhibit was magical! It was possible to get very close to the costumes and see all the intricate detail in them, but that just made me want to touch the fabric to feel the texture in my fingers. I managed to resist the urge to touch, but only just!

The All Star Womens’ Comic Book Club Women in Comics Festival was a magical event organised by the lovely founders of the All Star Womens’ Comic Book Club. The festival brought together lovely talented women to chat and make art all weekend, it was an amazing experience!
Thought Bubble Festival 2016
The Thought Bubble Festival is the best geeky convention I have ever been to and I’m pretty sure I’m now ruined for Australian geeky conventions forever! There was so much for me to do and see that my head was spinning! I would absolutely love to go to another one in the future if I can!
The Wicked + The Divine Art Exhibition
Jamie McKelvie is an amazing artist. As a part of the Thought Bubble Festival the gallery and cafe at Munro House is holding an exhibit of his cover art, which is incredible! I wanted to spend much more time there, and I hope to return after the festival.
The Day James O’Barr Came to Melbourne
Today James O’Barr, creator of The Crow, came to All Star Comics in Melbourne. So I got to meet James O’Barr! Younger gothy me would be so pleased right now!
