Second month of the Monthly Closet Cosplay Challenge! Looking ahead there will be some tough ones, but the theme for February is Pokemon with the challenge word of Blue. I am a pretty huge Pokemon fan so I couldn’t fail this one! As a kid I played Pokemon on my black-and-white gameboy and I still play Pokemon Go on my phone form time to time. I really wanted to incorporate my amazing Gyarados scarf with the little Magikarp playing around his tail, so I figured, Gyarados has a ruff, so why not make the scarf the ruff and be Gyarados? There’s nothing face paint can’t do! Particularly if I add in Get Damed glitter and incorporate my amazing Wild Bangarang blue dragon leggings!
Wanted an interesting backdrop, because I doubt Gyarados would be happy hanging out in my tiny home and would instead feel better by the water. I think I freaked out a few people exercising by the beach in the early morning when we wandered down to the rocks with all this amazing glitter. But I had a blast flouncing around in the early morning sun and sea breeze. I need more excuses in my life to wear glitter!
And of course the star attraction was the scarf. There was a bit of a breeze so was able to get this amazing photo of the scarf flying like a flag in the wind! So glad I’m able to show it off, it’s not an accessory I get to wear often, but it’s up there as one of my favourite pieces. It was a gorgeous sunny day to take photos, and I think we got some lovely ones! I felt like a strong shiny Gyarados by the water. What an amazing way to start off a weekend!
