This month’s #monclocoscha prompt was gijinka, and a perfect opportunity to be Pikachu!
I played Pokemon on the old black-and-grey gameboys way back at the dawn of time and absolutely loved it. Though, I’ve got to admit my favourite game back then was a motorbike racing game called Road Rash that was just the very best! But Pokemon. One of my siblings had Pokemon Yellow and I loved that the Pikachu sprite followed along behind their character in the game. Of course I wanted my Charmander to follow me, but I could never quite work out how (because it was impossible..).
This cool feature has always endeared Pikachu to me, which is why I snapped up this Button Fox cape the second I saw it at a con!

Button Fox makes the most adorable capes, I may have a few, but this one is special. It has poseable ears and an adorable lightning bolt tail that can be removed or left in place as desired. I love it, and an excuse to wear it and bounce about is always welcome.
As always, thanks go to Breezee Weezee and Zeveelia for their awesome monthly closet cosplay challenge.

As an added bonus, when I went off to Japan I picked up this completely adorable flight attendant Pikachu from Narita International Airport, isn’t she amazing? She helped hold my camera in place for half of the shots, so I think she deserves her own place in the spotlight.
