Nerdvember Challenge 2018 – Final Week

The final week of Nerdvember is here! This challenge is a whole heap of fun, but sadly this is the last installment for this year. I think this week was the best week for awesome cardis and jackets form this years Nerdvember. I saved some of my favourite pieces until the end, then wanted to wear them all at once! Here are my final Nerdvember outfits for this year.

Day 22 – Finn

Headed down to the beach today and had a lot of fun with art! Cardi is from Elhoffer Design and it is one of my standard go-to comfy cardis that is fabulous to wear if the weather is a little chilly. I love how subtle a nod it is to Finn/Poe’s jacket. And there was another special guest appearance by the adorable kitty pin from Jess Kitty Parker, with a much better picture than last week!

Day 23 – Doctor Who

Visited Vanyanis HQ today so had to take a picture in her lovely studio. Cardi is from the excellent Elhoffer Design and is based on the tshirt of the 13th Doctor. The tardis pin came from the Doctor Who studios in Cardiff when they were open. I love the long sleeves of this cardi so much! I have long arms and even I can hide my hands in these sleeves.

Day 24 – Harlequins

The Harlequins are my favourite Warhammer 40K army, I love their story and their models are amazing! Plus they are quite brutal in combat. This is the closest I get to doing acrobatics, I would make a very poor member of a Harlequins Masque. However, it’s still fun to dance about by a lake and pretend! These super cool Warhammer 40k leggings come from Wild Bang-a-rang.

Day 25 – The Green Dragon

Ok, so today’s outfit might be a bit of a stretch, but I really love the way The Clever Clove put the home rune on the hobbit door and seeing as I’m heading home from an exciting trip today I wanted something that was Lord-of-the-Rings-ish but also home-y. Thus, the Green Dragon Inn! The green dragon leggings are from Wild Bang-a-rang and the Leaf of Lorien pin is from Weta Workshop.

Day 26 – Pikachu

Wandered down to the local electrical sub-station to take pictures for today because electric pokemon and I’m a bit of a smart-arse. Jacket is from the Skytree Pokemon Centre in Tokyo and the necklace was crafted by the talented La Vidriola.

Day 27 – Green Lantern

Today was my first day back at work after a fabulous weekend away with friends. It was an effort to get out of bed this morning when my alarm went off, it was nice to have a shiny Green Lantern ring to slip on for extra motivation. Both the ring and the pendants are from Guild Jewellery and are some of the oldest geeky jewelry I own and still high amongst my favorites.

Day 28 – Ninetails

I’m such a sucker for facing pins, and these Ninetails pins from Mamath are super cool! Special gust appearance from this adorable Vulpix plushy who came all the way from Japan. The inside of his little jacket has a Ninetails pattern!

.

.

Day 29 – Disney Celebration

These Micky and Minnie Mouse pins came from Tokyo Disney and are a celebration for the 35th year of the resort! They made me think of my Japan trip all day and how much fun I had. I hope to go back one day!

.

.

Day 30 – Ironman

This jacket from Her Universe is just fabulous. It’s reasonably subtle, quite stylish, and comfy. Plus the cropped style of jacket combined with the all black outfit makes my legs look like they just keep going, which I kinda like! Had to find a somewhat industrial setting for Ironman, and this old cement works did the trick. Though being outside the fencing does make it look like poor Tony has been locked out of his factory…

And that’s it for Nerdvemebr for another year! There are already outfits I’m planning for next year, so I’m already looking forward to it! Or I could just wear those outfits anyway, which would also be super cool. Either way, that’s a wrap for Nerdvember this year, I had heaps of fun with it, so see you next year for round three!

This challenge is based on one created by Set to Stunning way back in 2013. I am lovingly following the path they laid down.
