In week one of Nerdvember I rediscovered just how much fun I have with nerdy fashion! I get pretty excited about Nerdvember and digging out lots of fun geeky fashion pieces to wear at work and at home and generally just put more thought into my passions, which makes me smile.
Day 8 – Howl’s Moving Castle
I enjoyed going to the Studio Ghibli Museum so much and I absolutely cannot wait to get back there! While there I spotted this set of Howl’s jewelry and immediately decided it had to come home with me. Wearing them to work made me quite happy! Of course with this Howl jewelry I had to wear these adorable facing pins of Howl and Sophie from Kon Kon! Studio. All up, I felt pretty sparkly and magical!

Day 9 – Ravenclaw
For Nerdvember day nine I caught up with a fellow Ravenclaw after work so wore my Hogwarts house cardi for the occasion. Went for my Ravenclaw pin, also from the Harry Potter Studios, along with the key pin from Kreative Katz and the wise bird pin from Star Salts. I adore my shiny new mandrake root pendant from Freyja Jewels. He’s delightfully fae in its look and feel and added an extra touch of magic! The amazing tshirt is of course from Jordandené.

Day 10 – Eternity
Going a little out there for Nerdvember day ten with the marvel comics cosmic entity known as Eternity. I love reading cosmic comics because they are so bonkers that something like Eternity can exist. I also wanted an excuse to wear this jacket from Rogue and Wolf with is big hood full of stars. The pin of a seemingly tiny Silver Surfer and Galactus from Evergood Merch finishes the outfit off. Space stuff is cool!

Day 11 – Star Wars
This space battle necklace is a lot of fun to wear. It’s just so spectacular! La Vidriola really does make the most amazing things, the lightsabre earrings are also their work. I don’t wear this kind of statement necklace nearly as much as I should, it is attention grabbing and a great way to start conversations with fellow geeks.

Day 12 – Pokemon
Day twelve of Nerdvember was a Monday and I had a really bad case of Monday-itis. But I’d been waiting to wear these two adorable Pokemon pins that I picked up in a Pokemon Center in Japan until I needed a cuteness boost. This was that day. And look how cute they are! I’m a huge fan of Eevee, but think Pikachu is a little overused. But these little cosplay pins were just the cuteness boost I needed.

Day 13 – Marvel Heroes
I found out the morning of this day that Stan Lee passed away. I wasn’t really sure what to do with the emotion this news caused me, so I put some of it into the format I was familiar with this month; Nerdvember. He had a hand in creating so many heroes who bring me joy, so I wore some of those heroes on the collar of my cardi to remember his legacy. These pins came from a Marvel exhibit that was set up in Melbourne earlier this year and I haven’t had an opportunity to wear them before today. I spoke to many people about Stan Lee today, it was lovely to chat about the things I love about Marvel heroes and comics in general.

Day 14 – Labyrinth
For the morning of Nerdvember day fourteen I had a scarily official appointment that didn’t alow much wiggle room for nerdy apparel, so for the rest of the day I wore sparkles. Because sparkles! Topped off with these awesome Labyrinth pins from Punache. I’m such a sucker for facing pins, and character ones are my absolute faves!

I really love incorporating geeky pins into my work wardrobe, I was able to do that a fair bit this week. I’m going to keep up the work geeky vibes moving on into Nerdvember week two!
This challenge is based on one created by Set to Stunning way back in 2013. I am lovingly following the path they laid down.
