The Thought Bubble Festival is the best geeky convention I have ever been to and I’m pretty sure I’m now ruined for Australian geeky conventions forever! There was so much for me to do and see that my head was spinning! I would absolutely love to go to another one in the future if I can!
Doctor Who Experience
Doctor Who is a TV show that taps into my desire to see and explore the world with wonder. It is mostly filmed in the BBC studios in Cardiff, so when I was vaguely in that part of the world I couldn’t resist wandering past (making a beeline for…) the Doctor Who Experience.
The Wicked + The Divine Art Exhibition
Jamie McKelvie is an amazing artist. As a part of the Thought Bubble Festival the gallery and cafe at Munro House is holding an exhibit of his cover art, which is incredible! I wanted to spend much more time there, and I hope to return after the festival.
Thought Bubble 10 Year Anthology
This year I will be going to the Thought Bubble Festival in Leeds. Insert excited squealing and hand waving here. If this collection is anything to go by, this is going to be an amazing convention!
The Day James O’Barr Came to Melbourne
Today James O’Barr, creator of The Crow, came to All Star Comics in Melbourne. So I got to meet James O’Barr! Younger gothy me would be so pleased right now!

Local Launch of Colourful Comic Anthology
Colour, noise and a jubilant book launch! Fly the Colour Fantastica was a successful kickstarter campaign that allowed 12 very talented ladies to create a Comic Anthology that is a vibrant, varied and gorgeous journey through short stories.
Watching Star Wars for the first time as an adult
Part of my ongoing quest to reduce the reasons eyes can be roll in my direction. Star Wars was not a part of my childhood, something that I kept secret up until very recently.
